Somehow I forgot that spring is an exceptionally busy time of year for us at the store. It’s only been this way for the past seventeen years so it makes perfect sense that I wouldn’t remember that. Right?

For the past seventeen years, we have advertised our store, Biker Rags, on the local classic rock station. Jeff wrote the ads for the on air personality to perform. Last January, when we were out shopping we ran into our sales guy, Jad. Jad and I decided that Jeff should be the guy to do the ads since they were his writing voice. Jeff reluctantly agreed and before I knew it, he had written me into the ads as well.

Aside from being a little anxiety provoking, it has turned out to be quite a bit of fun. We go up to the studio on Sharp’s Ridge and hang out with Sarah and Jad. Since we’ve practiced before hand, we generally only need to read through it a time or two before we’re done. Then we stand around and swap stories. The best part is that our customers seem to be really enjoying the ads and it’s made us personal once again.

We’ve knocked around the idea of filming these spots as well. But until that happens, I’ve taken the liberty of putting our latest ad to a photo slide show. I hope you enjoy it!
